First of all apologies if you do not wish to receive the newsletter. If you wish to be removed from the mailing list please reply to this email changing the subject to 'remove'.

PLAG to CDAG?! Why not Don't Destroy Donington Action Group!
There has been a bit of confusion over the Action Groups name in so much it might be a bit misleading! The group chose 'Park Lane' to highlight the fact that the development is centred around Park Lane and its surrounding area. As many of you have pointed out the development will affect all of the village, so perhaps Castle Donington Action Group may have been a better choice! As it stands we have a perfect name in Don't Destroy Donington, so from now on the group shall be know as DDDAG!
Public Meeting
There is a public meeting to be run by the Action Group this Tuesday 20th April 2010 at the Donington Manor Hotel from 7:00pm. There will be displays on the proposed development, question and answer sessions, regular talks on the development and the Action Group, online facilities and the opportunity to talk to Action Group members. Please come along and bring your friends and neighbours! We hope to see you there.
Petition
We still need your signatures! You can either do this online by visiting our website at www.dontdestroydonington.co.uk or http://donington.epetitions.net or by visiting the Public Meeting this Tuesday 20th April from 7:00pm. Not only will you be able to sign the petition here but you can look at the plans and talk to an Action Group member. We look forward to seeing you there!
Consultation Period - Important!
Really important note! Although the date of the 28th February has passed you are still able to lodge your objections up until the application is presented to the planning committee so keep objecting!! We will let you know on the website and through this newsletter when this happens.
Objection Letter Template
There is now a downloadable objection letter template on the website in MS Word document format. It is by no means exhaustive in its content so please feel free to download and amend, whether this is to remove statements you do not agree with or to add your own! It can be accessed by using the link in the 'Quick Links' area of our website's homepage on the left of the screen. www.dontdestroydonington.co.uk
You will also be able to pick up a hardcopy of the letter at the public meeting which you can sign and return on the night and we will post it for you or you can take this home and return to the District Council yourself.
Next DDDAG meeting
The next DDDAG meeting is to be held at the Donington Manor Hotel on Thursday 29th April at 7:30pm. You are all welcome to attend and share your thoughts and ideas. There will also be feedback from the Public Meeting. I'm sure this will be most enlightening!
Action!
We continue to send mailshots out to the local media and consult with the council, planning officers, parish council, parliamentary candidates, planning consultants, the developers and
local businesses. If you can think of any other organisations/areas we can pursue please let us know!
That's all for now. Thank you for your time and support. We hope to see you soon! Any comments you have on this newsletter, the website or the campaign please email info@dontdestroydonington.co.uk
Regards
